The discussion was moderated by poet Sailaukhan Zholanov, a member of the Writers’ Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan and recipient of the international “Yertostik” and “Serdash” awards, together with poet and Kazakh language and literature teacher Arkalyk Amaliyat.
During the conversation, Khamit Yerdekhan shared insights into his creative journey, his first steps in literature, his personal values, and sources of inspiration. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions about books, reading, and the creative process.
Special attention was given to the role of literature in the spiritual development of young people, the importance of books in contemporary society, and the value of preserving a strong reading culture.
As part of the event, QasymKitap Publishing House organized a book exhibition featuring new publications, notable works by Kazakh authors, and books for young readers.
