The main objective of the event was to introduce the younger generation to the life and sporting career of Kazhymukan Munaitpasov, an outstanding son of the Kazakh people, to highlight his achievements in sport, his devotion to his country, courage and strength of character, and to encourage students’ interest in historical figures.
As part of the event, a book exhibition entitled “Kazhymukan — A Legend of Strength” was organized. Participants were introduced to books and educational materials dedicated to the legendary wrestler. The exhibition featured literary works, memoirs and research publications covering Kazhymukan Munaitpasov’s life and sporting career.
A special exhibition was also presented by the Kazhymukan Regional Sports Museum of Turkistan, showcasing valuable artefacts and historical materials related to the life and sporting achievements of the legendary wrestler. The exhibition gave participants an opportunity to learn more about Kazhymukan Munaitpasov’s important place in the history of Kazakhstan and his outstanding achievements in sport.
The event was opened by Bakytzhan Zharmakhanuly Beisembayev, Member of the Public Council of Turkistan Region, Chairman of the Turkistan Regional Mediation Council, Head of the “Bitimger” Public Association of Mediators and Honorary Citizen of Turkistan, together with Gulzhan Zhumageldikyzy Orazgeldiyeva, Head of the Speech Arts Club at the Turkistan City Centre for Children and Adolescents.
In their opening remarks, they highlighted Kazhymukan Munaitpasov’s significant role in the history of the country and his contribution to raising the honour and prestige of the Kazakh people. They also encouraged the younger generation to follow the example of the legendary wrestler, love their country and respect national values.
The event also featured speeches by Kaiyrkhan Kanatuly Rakhmankulov, a winner of national Kazakh wrestling competitions and horse rider; Nurbek Alibekuly Rysbek, Chief Specialist and Coach in the traditional sport of Asyk Atu in Turkistan Region; Nauryz Serzhanuly Kuttybai, Senior Coach of the Turkistan Regional Junior Taekwondo Team; and Shyngys Almokhanuly Sqaқ, a Kazakh wrestling coach.
The speakers shared their views on the importance of sport for children’s health and future. They encouraged young people to participate in sports regularly, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and develop perseverance and determination. They also emphasized the importance of hard work, discipline and continuous self-development in achieving success in sport.
During the event, talented students from the Turkistan City Centre for Children and Adolescents demonstrated their creative abilities by performing literary pieces, singing songs and playing traditional music on the dombra. Students from sports schools also demonstrated their skills through various sporting exercises. The performances of the young artists and athletes were warmly received by the audience and created an inspiring atmosphere throughout the event.
As part of the educational programme, Asyk Atu competitions were held for children, giving participants an opportunity to demonstrate their accuracy, agility and quick reflexes. Following the competition, the winners and prize-winners who achieved the best results were presented with special gifts.
The event concluded with remarks from Rysbek Ermekuly Letaev, Director of the I. Altynsarin Turkistan Regional Children’s Library. He expressed his gratitude to all guests and participants who contributed to the event. He emphasized that the exemplary life and heroic journey of Kazhymukan Munaitpasov will always serve as an inspiration to the younger generation and encouraged children to read, take part in sports and respect national values.
The name of Kazhymukan Munaitpasov, a legendary wrestler and a source of national pride for the Kazakh people, and his remarkable life filled with courage and achievement will forever remain in the memory of the nation. His resilience, love for his country and outstanding sporting achievements will continue to inspire future generations and contribute to fostering national spirit, patriotism and respect for history and cultural heritage.
