Journey into the World of Fairy Tales and Parade of Fairy-Tale Characters
Purpose of the Event
The event aims to foster children's interest in reading, promote national values through fairy tales, develop their creative abilities, and attract new readers to the library.
As part of the event, special book exhibitions were organized and presented to visitors. The exhibitions featured collections of Kazakh and world fairy tales, outstanding works of children's literature, as well as artistic installations depicting fairy-tale characters. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the exhibitions, take commemorative photographs with their favorite characters, and become acquainted with new additions to the library's collection.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Bakytzhan Zharmakhan, Member of the Turkistan Regional Public Council, Chairman of the Turkistan Regional Mediation Council, Head of the Bitimger Public Association of Mediators, and Honorary Citizen of the City of Turkistan; Bekzhigit Serdali, Candidate of Philological Sciences, composer, scholar, and journalist; and Alima Pashanova, Member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with other representatives of the intellectual community. In their welcoming remarks, they encouraged children to develop a love for books, read fairy tales and fiction on a regular basis, and emphasized the significant role of such educational initiatives in enriching the spiritual development of the younger generation.
During the event, the library's Best Readers of June were honored in a ceremonial award presentation. Certificates of Appreciation and commemorative gifts were presented to the following readers in recognition of their outstanding enthusiasm for reading and active participation:
Best Reader of the Preschool and Primary School Readers' Services Department - Aisha Tangirbergen, who read 12 books in one month;
Best Reader of the Middle and High School Readers' Services Department - Ayaru Makhan, who read 14 books in one month;
Best Reader of the Mobile Library Service Point at the Turkistan Schoolchildren's Palace - Imanali Maksatuly Adilkhan, who read 7 books in one month.
The award ceremony served to encourage children to read more actively and strengthen their interest in the library.
As part of the festive programme, a Parade of Fairy-Tale Characters was held, giving children the opportunity to meet their favorite fairy-tale heroes. Participants also took part in educational games entitled "Guess the Character," "Continue the Fairy Tale," and "World of Riddles," demonstrating their knowledge, ingenuity, and active participation. The programme also featured musical performances, dances, and theatrical productions with the participation of fairy-tale characters.
