The event was opened by Nesipkul Utebayeva, a member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Writers’ Union of the Turkic World, Honoured Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan and recipient of the Ybyrai Altynsarin badge; Pernekul Naltayeva, Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and veteran of the cultural sector; distinguished educator Assel Bimyrzayeva; and poet Aigerim Zhumalayeva. They extended their warm wishes to the participants and wished them success, inspiration and new creative achievements.
As part of the literary evening, a traditional “Best Reader of the Month” award ceremony was held to encourage children’s interest in reading and recognize the library’s most active readers. Following the results of July, readers who demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm for reading and read the largest number of books were selected and presented with special awards.
In particular, Fariza Abdilla, a reader of the Department for Preschool and Primary School Readers, read 24 books in one month, demonstrating an outstanding result.
Shaiykhslam Aikorkem, a reader of the Department for Middle and Senior School Readers, read 12 books during the month and distinguished herself through her active participation in reading.
Both readers received the “Best Reader of the Month” award for their active involvement in the life of the library and for serving as an example to their peers.
During the evening, active young readers performed expressive readings of poems from children’s literature and works by prominent poets and writers, as well as musical performances. Interesting educational games and quizzes dedicated to children’s literature were also organized, with young readers taking an active part.
The literary evening was held in a warm and cheerful atmosphere, once again highlighting the special place of books and reading in people’s lives.
