The main purpose of the event was to promote the rich literary heritage of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbaiuly among the younger generation, highlight national values through his works, and encourage children’s interest in reading.
During the festive evening, participants expressively recited Abai’s poems, presented excerpts from his Words of Edification, and answered educational questions about the poet’s life and creative work. The children also performed Abai’s songs and demonstrated their creative talents. Library specialists shared interesting facts about the poet’s life and literary heritage.
Literary games and quizzes organized during the event were held with the active participation of the children. The winners were presented with special prizes.
At the end of the event, the participants noted that Abai’s legacy is an enduring spiritual and cultural value and once again recognized the importance of reading and studying the works of the great poet.
